Where do I put my .vimrc file in the virtual machine?
Hi, Not sure if this is off-topic or not, but I've never used a virtual machine before. I use vim as my text editor, but when I open files from the virtual machine none of my .vimrc settings carry over. Where would I copy my .vimrc file to within the vm to keep my usual editing environment.

Open the files on your machine, not inside the VM. You'll use your standard editor and its standard settings.
